Overall, it was a nice stay with spacious rooms and friendly staff. The pool definitely needs maintenance; it looked green. Conveniently located next to Walmart and restaurants.

The staff showed moments of hospitality, especially Andrea, who went out of her way to help when I needed assistance. The location was excellent, with numerous dining options nearby.

The location allowed me to hop from casino to casino. Loved the pool for some splish-splash fun. Independence Stadium was so close; I could almost hear the Bulldogs!

Clean bedding and attentive staff were highlights. the rude reception from some employees was disheartening. During my stay, significant issues arose. Limited elevator access compounded frustrations; wait times were lengthy. One bright spot was Stefanie, who went above and beyond to resolve billing issues. While some aspects were satisfactory, consistent service standards and improved facilities are needed to fully elevate the experience.

The room and bathroom were clean, and the beds were very comfortable. The hotel manager and staff were friendly and helpful during my stay, making me feel welcome. The price for the stay was decent, which was a plus as I was on a business trip. Some of the staff members, especially the breakfast crew, were friendly and nice, which added to a pleasant atmosphere.

The hotel maintenance was lacking. The rooms had issues, such as leaking windows and peeling wallpaper.

So, my experience at the Wingate was a bit of a mixed bag. the hotel location was pretty convenient for me, which was a big plus. The bed was comfortable, so at least I had a good night's sleep. They also had ironing facilities available, which came in handy for me. Now, on to the not-so-great parts. The room had some issues with heating and air conditioning - the AC leaked water and was never fixed, which was quite frustrating. There were also some cleanliness issues in the room, like crumbs on the carpet and a strange smell. Not the best first impression, that's for sure. I was also disappointed by the lack of tea and coffee facilities in the room. As a big coffee drinker, I definitely missed having that option available. The hotel could definitely step up their game in that department. I'd say the Wingate has some room for improvement, especially in terms of room maintenance and cleanliness. I didn't appreciate the mix-up at check-in and the lack of prompt assistance with the room issues. It's the little details that can make or break a hotel stay, and unfortunately, the Wingate fell a bit short in my book.

had a bit of a problem when i first arrived i reserved for a extend king bedroom and when i got there all the room were taken. of course my family and i were upset and it's nothing that could've been done that night. i was more considering because the girl at the front desk was new. so we ended up getting a twin however, the representative & the manager was on top of everything and gave me a half refund. the king bedroom was clean i give props to the housekeepers ! with a lot of space, bed was so comfortable, plus the had a sofa bed and the staff was very polite. they even had breakfast in the morning. nearby: it's a lot of near by places cracker barrel, walmart , wing stop, pizza spot, wendy ,and etc all of these are walking distance.
